Nuo Opera, which originated in ancient times, is called "fulfilling a vow" (i.e. Nuotang Opera) by some people in our country. It is known as the "living fossil" of drama. It is widely spread in Tongren and even in some parts of the country and has been preserved relatively intact. Nuo Opera was approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage. Therefore, Tongren is known as the "Hometown of Nuo Opera in China".
