Guidong County is located in the southeastern border of Chenzhou City, Hunan Province and at the junction of three provinces, at the southern end of Luoxiao Mountains. It is adjacent to Jinggangshan, the cradle of revolution, and is an important part of the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Base. The towering Luoxiao and the vast mountains have created this treasure land of famous and high-quality tea production for the people in the old revolutionary base. The county's altitude ranges from 294 meters at the edge of Hunan and Jiangxi to 2,042 meters at the "Bamishan" provincial nature reserve. There are as many as 479 peaks with an altitude of more than 1,000 meters. The peaks are beautiful, with various shapes, magnificent momentum, and extremely spectacular. There is a folk song saying: "There are Bamian Mountain above and Xiongtang Mountain below, three feet and three meters away from the sky", which shows how high it is. The county seat is 840 meters above sea level, the highest in Hunan. The climate here belongs to the subtropical humid mountain climate of Nanling, with warm winters and cool summers. The annual average temperature is 15.4, the extreme temperature in summer is 34.8, and there is no weather below 0 for 5 consecutive days in winter. There is neither extreme heat nor severe cold, which is very suitable for the growth of high-quality tea. In addition, the new branches of tea trees are strong in tenderness, and the tea leaves are soft and tender, with many white hairs. Third, the temperature difference between day and night in the mountains is large. The annual average reaches 9.2, which is very conducive to the accumulation of nutrients in tea trees. The tea contains rich substances, and the processed tea has many soluble substances, and it tastes rich and fresh. Guidong Linglong Tea is a famous tea made by local people through special processing and refinement with high-quality tea leaves for thousands of years. It is a typical "natural tea" that "grows on high mountains and grows in clouds and fog". This kind of tea has beautiful shape and high quality. After testing and identification by the provincial tea research, the physical and chemical indicators contained are: amino acids 3.17%. Tea polyphenols 29.98%. Catechins 17.14%. Caffeine 6.78%. Water-infused substances 43.4%. Professor Wang Rongchu, Chairman of Hunan Tea Association and Hunan Agricultural University, examined and proved that Guidong Linglong Tea has the most reasonable content index among the six traditional famous teas in Hunan Province. Professor Zhu Xianming, Executive Director of National Tea Association, National Famous Tea Expert and Hunan Agricultural University, praised Guidong Linglong Tea highly after tasting it and wrote an inscription: "High Mountain Cloud Linglong Tea, color, aroma, taste and shape are very good, the king of beverages to prolong life, don't make ordinary praises." Lu Songhou, a national tea appraiser and an old professor at Hunan Agricultural University who is known as the "first nose" in tea appraisal in my country, gave a highly praised comment after tasting the tea: "Guidong Linglong Tea, appearance: the strips are fine and exquisite, in a ring-hook shape, the body is heavy, the silver hairs are visible, and the color is green and moist. Internal quality: the soup color is yellow-green and clear, the aroma is noble, the taste is fresh, mellow and refreshing, the leaf bottom is tender green and bright, and it is a high-quality and famous tea with unique quality and style." Professor Lu especially appreciated the two major characteristics of Linglong Tea: "First, the high mountain fragrance of Linglong Tea, the fragrance is noble, which is difficult to match by other teas; second, the opening is unique, delicate and exquisite, and the shape is unique." Because of its beautiful shape and excellent quality, Guidong Linglong Tea has been rated as Hunan's famous tea since 1980, and was rated as a national excellent product in 1985 and 1989. In 1988, it won the bronze medal of the first China Food Expo. In 1991, it won the excellent new product award of the China Food Industry Ten Years New Mature Exhibition. In 1994, it won the first "Xiang Tea Cup" gold medal and the fifth Asia-Pacific International Trade Expo gold medal. Linglong tea belongs to the special green tea category. Its basic processing method is high temperature killing, moderate rolling, and low temperature multiple drying. It can be broken down into eight processes: spreading and selecting. Killing. Cool breeze. Rolling. Tightening and shaping. Lifting. Stir-frying. Baking. Guidong Linglong Tea, a rare tea from the high mountains of southern China, is listed as a representative of Hunan's famous teas in the east, west, south, north and center of the "Three Hunans and Four Waters" ("Dongtingchun" in northern Hunan, "Linglong Tea" in southern Hunan, "Xiangbo Green" in eastern Hunan, "Guzhang Maojian" in western Hunan, and "Youfeng Biyu" in central Hunan). It stands tall in the tea industry and is well-known both at home and abroad. It is also exported to Japan, Pakistan and other countries.
