Jinhua in the central part of Zhejiang Province was formerly known as "Wuzhou". Its traditional houses are mainly distributed in Dongyang, Lanxi, Wuyi, Pujiang and other places. These historic buildings are cleverly laid out and beautifully decorated, fully demonstrating the superb construction skills. There are more than 200 Ming and Qing Dynasty houses in Zhuge Village, Lanxi City, Zhejiang Province. The earliest local building was built in the tenth year of Zhizheng in the Yuan Dynasty (1350). The earliest building in Yuyuan Village, Wuyi County was built in the Southern Song Dynasty, and there are 130 Ming and Qing Dynasty houses. Lu's House in Dongyang is a large-scale residential building complex in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, with a construction area of about 17,000 square meters. Among them, the famous Suyong Hall was built during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty. Zhengzhai Town in Pujiang County is an ancient town where the Zheng family lived. It was built in the early years of the Northern Song Dynasty and covers an area of about 5,000 square meters. Wuzhou's traditional houses focus on perfect integration with the surrounding natural environment in architectural design. Most of the houses are built by the mountains and rivers, facing the sun and facing the shade, with undulating hills and rivers, and winding streams and rivers flowing in between. Some of the buildings are in the traditional left-right symmetrical form, with alleys and lanes running vertically and horizontally; some are in the Bagua style, radiating from the center to the outside. The architectural forms include ancestral halls, screen walls, memorial archways, stone bridges, halls, shops, libraries, stages, granaries, dining rooms, bedrooms, etc., which are fully functional and comfortable and convenient to live in. The ancestral hall is the core building of traditional folk houses in central Zhejiang. It is not only a place to worship ancestors, but also a place for clansmen to gather and discuss matters and for elders to teach the younger generations. The architectural pattern fully reflects the profound influence of Confucian ethical culture. The decorative arts of traditional folk houses in Wuzhou are diverse, including stone carvings, wood carvings, brick carvings, and painted paintings. Wood carvings are widely used in beams, brackets, brackets, gates, and window lattices. Dongyang Lu's house is the most typical in this regard. Village houses generally adopt the form of blue bricks, gray walls, and (roof) horse head walls. Some houses, such as Lu's house, have stone lions facing each other at the door, which gives people a sense of majesty and solemnity. Among the traditional residential buildings in Wuzhou, Zhuge Village in Lanxi, Lu's House in Dongyang, and Zheng's Town in Pujiang are all national key cultural relics protection units, and Yuyuan Village in Wuyi is a historical and cultural protection area of Zhejiang Province. Lu's House is located in the east of Dongyang City, Zhejiang Province. It is a large residential building complex of Ming and Qing Dynasties, covering an area of 26,800 square meters and a construction area of 16,900 square meters. The axis of Suyong Hall is the main building of Lu's House, with nine entrances in front and back and a depth of 320 meters. On the east side, parallel to the axis of Suyong Hall, there are the four entrances in front and back of the axis of Shide Hall, the three entrances in front and back of the axis of Shude Hall, and the axis of Dongyin Hall of Dafudi. In the middle, there is the axis of Daya Hall (Shanqing Hall, Dunxu Hall), and the three entrances of Airi Hall in the back. On the west side, parallel to the axis of Suyong Hall, there are the two entrances in front and back of Cunyi Hall, Zhongxiao Hall, Tiemenli, and Shenxiu Hall. Facing the street in the south are the East and West Heting Academy, Maohuai Hall, and Fangbodi Bingyu Hall. No matter from which aspect, Lu's House can be called a museum of hall architecture in Dongyang. The ancient buildings have various styles and unique features, such as the grand and solemn Suyong Hall, the tall and majestic Shude Hall, and the small and exquisite Dongyin Hall, which represent different architectural concepts and cultural ideas. Its architectural forms are also extremely rich. There are many types of hanging and hard-roofed roofs alone, which not only represent different levels, but also increase the changes in architectural forms. The mansion of Lu's house has many halls and courtyards, with gorgeous carvings, integrating Dongyang wood carving, stone carving, brick carving and painted art. Among them, wood carving art is the most prominent. The beams, brackets, brackets, door windows and windows are all exquisitely carved, showing superb craftsmanship.
