Siping tune evolved from Subei flower drum, which was once known as "Sipindiao" among the people. Around 1930, it evolved from sung in disguise to sung in costume on stage. Siping tune is based on flower drum, and at the same time it has absorbed a lot of artistic nutrition from other sister operas, forming an artistic style with strong regional characteristics. The female voice is simple and gentle, while the male voice is high-pitched, bold, and both hard and soft, retaining strong rap characteristics. Siping tune has a wide range of distribution, and the bordering areas of Henan, Shandong, Anhui, and Jiangsu are all its activities. Henan currently has two professional troupes, Shangqiu Siping tune troupe and Puyang Fanxian Siping tune troupe. Siping tune is a kind of opera with a deep mass base. "Chen Sanliang Climbing the Hall", "Little Bao Gong", "Mute Girl Complaint" and other plays are all popular among the masses. At the same time, because the evolution and development process of Siping Tune from the beginning to the present is clear and well-documented, it is called "a microcosm of the development of Chinese opera". It has a special status in Chinese opera art and is a unique flower in Chinese folk art.
