On both sides of the Luo River, there is a well-known story about the goddess of Luo River, Mi Fei. Mi Fei was originally the daughter of Fuxi. She was fascinated by the beautiful scenery on both sides of the Luo River, so she came to the world and came to the bank of the Luo River. At that time, there was a hardworking and brave nation living in the Luo River Basin, the Youluo clan. Mi Fei joined the Youluo clan and taught the people of the Youluo clan how to make nets to catch fish. She also taught the people of the Youluo clan the good methods of hunting, raising livestock and grazing that she learned from her father. On this day, after everyone worked, Mi Fei picked up the seven-stringed harp and played beautiful music. Unfortunately, the melodious sound of the harp was heard by He Bo in the Yellow River. This playboy sneaked into the Luo River and saw Mi Fei. He was immediately attracted by Mi Fei's beauty. So He Bo turned into a white dragon, set off an uproar in the Luo River, and swallowed Mi Fei. Concubine Mi was taken into the deep palace of the Water Palace by He Bo. She was depressed all day long and had to use the seven-stringed harp to relieve her sorrow. At this time, Hou Yi came to Concubine Mi. Hou Yi was originally a god of archery. Because he shot and killed nine sons of the Emperor of Heaven, he and his wife were demoted to the human world. Hou Yi's wife Chang'e stole the elixir and returned to the heavenly palace alone, leaving Hou Yi alone in the human world. Hou Yi heard about Concubine Mi's experience and was very angry. He rescued Concubine Mi from the deep palace and returned to Youluo Clan, and fell in love with Concubine Mi. He Bo was already full of anger, and when he heard about the love between Hou Yi and Concubine Mi, he became even more angry. He turned into a white dragon and sneaked into the Luo River, swallowing many fields, villages and livestock. Hou Yi was filled with anger and shot He Bo in the left eye, and He Bo fled in panic. He Bo knew that he was no match for Hou Yi, so he had to run to the Emperor of Heaven to complain. The Emperor of Heaven knew what had happened and did not speak to He Bo. He Bo could only return to the Water Palace in disgrace and never dared to intervene in the affairs of Hou Yi and Mi Fei again. From then on, Hou Yi and Mi Fei settled down in Luoyang and lived a happy life. Later, in order to commend them, the Emperor of Heaven also named Hou Yi as Zongbu God and Mi Fei as Luoshen. People on both sides of the Luo River then built a magnificent "Luoshen Temple" at the east gate of the old city. The story of Luoshen Mi Fei has been passed down from generation to generation.
