The firing technique of Lushan kiln (the firing technique of Lushan flower porcelain) is a national intangible cultural heritage. The cultural and museum circles refer to the flower porcelain products found in Duandian Kiln in Lushan, Henan, Huangdao Kiln in Jiaxian, Xiabaiyu Kiln in Yuzhou City, Deng Kiln in Neixiang, Jiaocheng Kiln in Shanxi, and Huangbao Kiln in Shaanxi as "Lushan flower porcelain". Lushan flower porcelain created a new technique of two-liquid phase separation glaze, opened up a new realm for the beautification and decoration of black glaze porcelain, made black glaze porcelain appear gorgeous kiln change effect, and created the precedent of the kiln change of Jun kiln porcelain, which is famous both at home and abroad. Lushan flower porcelain has large patches of color spots in a miraculous way, some of which are randomly dotted and some are splashed freely, with extraordinary natural charm and no old style, showing the heroic spirit of the prosperous Tang Dynasty. It is unique in the "Southern Green and Northern White" porcelain pattern and has become the darling of public and private collectors. Lushan flower porcelain is also known as "Tang Dynasty Jun porcelain, black Tang Jun", named after the flower-glazed porcelain with three colors of black ground, milky white and blue spots produced in Lushan during the Tang Dynasty. According to Tang Nanzhuo's "Jiegu Lu", when Emperor Xuanzong of Tang and Prime Minister Song Jing were discussing drums, they said "It is either Qingzhou stone powder or Lushan flower porcelain". Since then, "flower porcelain" or "flower glaze porcelain" has been used in ancient books as a special term for porcelain with black ground (also yellow, yellow-brown, tea-leaf ground) and milky white and blue spots. In the ancient ceramics industry, when flower porcelain is mentioned, people think of "Lushan flower porcelain named by Emperor Minghuang of Tang". In history, Lushan flower porcelain has left a strong mark in the history of Chinese ceramics; Lushan flower porcelain is the earliest high-temperature kiln-changed glaze porcelain discovered in my country. It is famous for its brilliant colors and rich changes. It occupies an important position in the history of the development of glazed porcelain in my country and is a great achievement of the porcelain industry in the Tang Dynasty. On May 24, 2021, the Lushan Kiln Firing Technique (Lushan Flower Porcelain Firing Technique) declared by Lushan County, Pingdingshan City, Henan Province was approved by the State Council to be included in the fifth batch of national intangible cultural heritage representative project list.
