Zhuang bronze drum dance is mainly circulated in Zhemian Township, Diyu Township, Zhetai Township, Zhulin Town, Jiumo Township, and Nasa Town, while Yi bronze drum dance is mainly circulated in Babao Town and Heizhiduo Township. Bronze drum, as an ancient artifact, is widely distributed in Yunnan. Among the large number of bronze artifacts unearthed from Shizhaishan in Jinning and Lijiashan in Jiangchuan, bronze drum occupies an important position, and its history can be traced back to the Warring States Period and the Qin and Han Dynasties. Guangnan County has a large number of bronze drums and a wide distribution. Not only have the competition drums (Shizhaishan type), Shaguo drums (Wanjiaba type), and Shaguo drums (Wanjiaba type) with important historical, cultural and artistic values been unearthed, but also in some Zhuang and Yi villages, there are still about 45 handed-down bronze drums collected, ranking second in Wenshan Prefecture. The "Investigation Report on the Bronze Drum Dance Hometown of Guangnan County" records in detail the names, types, quantities, towns and ethnic groups that are still using these bronze drums. Bronze drum dance is named after the bronze drum accompaniment. It is called "Longni", "Longnidong", "Longningdong", "Longyingfa" in Zhuang language. Bronze drum dance is a collective circle dance. The dancers dance counterclockwise to the rhythm of the drums. After completing each set of movements, they shout in unison and then exchange movements. During the Spring Festival, the March 3 Flower Street Festival, and the June 6 Festival, the Zhuang people beat drums and sing and dance in the village. They also dance bronze drums at weddings, funerals, and childbirth to express joy and blessings. In the long-term inheritance, bronze drum dance has absorbed a large number of production labor movements, such as sowing seedlings, pulling seedlings, planting seedlings, spinning, washing yarn, and weaving. The bronze drum dance of Guima Village, Nasa Town, vividly expresses the production and life of the four seasons with actions. There are 12 sets of actions in total: the first month of the year is the "start" of dancing, the second month is the land reclamation, the third month is the sowing of grain seeds, the fourth month is the planting of rice seedlings, the fifth month is the pulling of rice seedlings, the sixth month is the pulling of cotton, the seventh month is the "July Festival", the eighth month is the threshing, the ninth month is the weaving of flowered cloth, the tenth month is the brewing of rice wine, the winter month is the setting of the table for thanksgiving, and the twelfth month is the washing for the New Year. The Yi bronze drum dance is also mostly primitive hunting and gathering, sowing buckwheat and roasting fire and other production and life actions. When playing the bronze drum, it is usually played by two people. The bronze drum is hung horizontally on the ground, the waist of the drum is hit with bamboo sticks, and the center of the drum is hit with a drumstick. The drum makes different sounds according to a certain rhythm, and a wooden basin is pushed and pulled in the drum cavity to produce pleasant glissando and vibrato effects. In some places, wide-edged gongs, 铓 gongs, ox horns, and cowhide drums are added for accompaniment, and the band has seven or eight people. Bronze drum dance has a rich historical accumulation and mass base in Guangnan County. Some villages still retain the ritual of offering sacrifices to drums, which can be regarded as the living ancient bronze drum culture. Its performance activities have been enduring and have participated in various performance activities at the provincial, state and county levels many times. It has a good influence and a certain degree of popularity. (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.) (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
