Huangjintai, also known as Jintai and Guokuitai, was built by King Zhao of Yan during the Warring States Period to recruit talented people. It is more than 2,300 years old. The platform is about 10 meters high and covers an area of 10 mu. There are halls and ancestral halls built by later generations on the platform. It is divided into three floors. The first floor hall is the Zhaowang Hall (built in the Ming Dynasty), where King Zhao sits in the middle, with Guo Kui on the left and Yue Yi on the right; the second floor hall Longxing Temple (built in the Yuan Dynasty) is a Buddhist hall, with the Yaowang Hall on the left and the Guanyin Pavilion on the right, and there are many stone statues, and the bell and drum tower stands. The big bell is 6 feet high and weighs 1 ton; the third floor hall is the Saint Hall, with a statue of Confucius, and it is also the private school of Chencun. There is a well on the platform. Legend has it that a "platform" was built on the well. The well is nearly 30 meters deep and is used for the lives of people on the platform. There are 25 buildings, halls, ancestral halls, and pavilions on the platform, with dozens of people. It is a place for later generations to praise and admire King Zhao for his respect for the wise and humble. Legend has it that Dingxing has "eight scenes", among which "Sunset on the Golden Terrace" refers to the "Golden Terrace". Every evening when the sun is about to set, a very beautiful afterglow will shine on the Golden Terrace from the west seam of the saddle of Langya Mountain, creating a unique view. A poem passed down by word of mouth in Chen Village, Jintai, also explains the "Four Scenes of the Golden Terrace", namely "Sunset on the Golden Terrace, pine body and cypress leaves, reed grass, and Ganquan Holy Water Pool". Legend has it that there is an ancient tree on the Golden Terrace, which is surrounded by pine and cypress. Its body is pine bark and its branches and leaves are cypress branches. There is a reed growing in the well on the platform, which has been climbing to the top of the main hall. The well is very deep and the hall is also great, which shows its height. There is a marble behind Confucius' Hall on the platform, with a spring pool in the middle, which has water all year round. It is said to be able to cure eye diseases, so it is called Ganquan Holy Water Pool. Today, there are only two stone tablets (Zhao Wang Temple Stele in the Second Year of Zhengde and Jintai Temple Stele in the Wanli Period of Ming Dynasty), several stone Buddha statues, ancient well ruins and Warring States rubble. Zhao Wang's spirit of respecting the wise and humble has been praised by scholars of all generations, expressing people's good wishes for gathering wise men and taking the road of enriching the people and strengthening the country.
