Wen'an County is located in the hinterland of Beijing-Tianjin-Bohai Rim, surrounded by the three major cities of Beijing, Tianjin and Baoding. The Beijing-Kowloon Railway passes through the county, and three national and provincial highways run through the county. Liulizhuang Village is located in the northeast of Wen'an County and belongs to Daliuhe Town, Wen'an County. Liulizhuang has a long history, and the simple folk customs have created generations of hardworking and civilized Liulizhuang villagers. Ancient music was born on this hot land. According to research, the Liulizhuang Ancient Music Concert was formed in the early Qing Dynasty and has a history of more than 300 years. It has been passed down to the 13th generation. The inheritance method of the concert is relatively strict, the musicians have superb skills, and the unique music repertoire has high artistic value. Its main repertoires include more than 30 pieces such as "Dongyou", "Qingchui", "Jintang Music", "Taojunling", "Dazouma", "Xiaozouma", "Xiaotaiping", "Xiaojinge", "Yu Furong", "Beimaling", "Wuzie", "Liuzie", "Sanguizan", "Gongbanjiu", "Dasanbao", etc. The percussion instruments include "Dahexixi", "Xiaohexixi", "Changsanpo", "Chaozi", etc. There is a extant score and a drum in the early Qing Dynasty. The concert is completely passed down by old artists using gongche score orally and mentally. There are three main occasions for its performance: one is to light lanterns on the 15th day of the first lunar month. The ancestors passed down the performance in the three natural villages of the village every year on the Lantern Festival. The main purpose is to pray for good weather and good harvests when spring comes; the second is that there have been large temple fairs in villages and towns since ancient times. On this day, the concert manager of Liulizhuang Village will come to celebrate and perform; the third is funerals from the shed. If there is a "white event" in the three natural villages, the villagers will turn to the concert for funerals. Liulizhuang ancient music has a rich repertoire and complete suites. It has been preserved in a relatively closed state and has the characteristics of being authentic. It is of great value for the study of ancient music. In recent years, governments at all levels have attached great importance to the development of Liulizhuang concerts, but its current situation is not optimistic. Due to the old age and physical weakness of the musicians, the music scores are restricted to the oral transmission and memory of the musicians, and there is a lack of backup forces, so inheritance has become very difficult.
