Xiangdong Land Dragon Boat (the fourth provincial level batch) Located in Xiangdong District, which is located in the western border of Jiangxi, there is a folk saying: racing water dragon boats in the river, rowing dry dragon boats on the shore. Rowing a land dragon boat is also called rowing a dry dragon boat. Because it is close to the Xiangdong section of Pingshui River, it is a long-standing folk activity in Xiangdong around the Dragon Boat Festival. According to the old "Pingxiang County Chronicles" and the first issue of "Xiangdong Poetry Garden", Xiangdong land dragon boat rowing originated in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. The Pingxiang bamboo branch poem written by Xu Shengwu, who served as the magistrate of Pingxiang around 1783 AD, is evidenced: "Go east to Xiangxi to write official boards, go west to Xiangdong with paddles reversed, the boats are less than 50 miles in the middle, and the banks are covered with tung oil and ramie." Among them, reverse paddling is a unique action of rowing a land dragon boat.
