Chongyi Spring Ox Dance (the third batch of provincial level) my country is an agricultural country and has always attached great importance to farming. In the eleventh year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1654), the court stipulated that the emperor and all levels of 1 should perform farming rituals on the day of Hai in the middle of spring every year, and hold symbolic farming activities in the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests and the locations of various government offices. The custom of Chongyi's "Spring Ox Dance" originated in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, and has a history of hundreds of years. The earliest "Spring Ox Dance" activity was at the beginning of spring every year. The villagers spontaneously came to the riverside, and people dressed up as river gods and decorated the river with lanterns. Each household invited the river god back to their homes and worshiped in front of the cattle pens, pig pens and other poultry at home to ensure a peaceful year, a good harvest, and the safety of livestock. The Tang family in Shangbao Township, Chongyi County, moved to the local area from Hunan during the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty, and brought this ancient folk custom with them. Later, this custom spread to the people, and the people organized the Spring Ox Team, using the "Spring Ox" as the role, turning serious political activities into a relaxed and joyful, even humorous and lively song and dance activity with the characteristics of spring, so it is called Dancing Spring Ox. Every year on the beginning of spring, people go to the river to welcome the ox god, and on the 24th day of the year, they place the head of the Spring Ox at home for worship. According to local social phenomena, the Tang family has transformed and processed it from content to form, with roles such as fishing, woodcutting, farming, and reading to reflect the life of farmers. Sometimes, roles such as housekeepers and calculators are added to denounce the exploitation and oppression of farmers by landlords, thus highlighting the ideological nature. They also added projects such as "Eight Immortals", "Legend of the White Snake", "Broken Bridge Meeting", and "Liu Hai Cutting Wood" based on rap to enhance the drama. The Spring Ox worships the gods, tours, and sings and dances. The sets and movements of Dancing Spring Ox include going out of the pen, going on the road, eating grass, drinking water, carrying a yoke, plowing the field, scratching itching, lying on the ground, and listening to songs. Spring Ox Song is also known as Ox Lantern, which includes drums and gongs, going out, meeting on the road, meeting, worshipping, picking green, thanking gifts, offering red, respecting teachers, and bidding farewell. It is sung solo, chorus, round and duet, singing farm affairs, interpreting folk sorrows and joys, and making people laugh and cheer. The host offers red to the ox and entertains everyone with tea, fruit, wine and food. After everyone is full of wine and food, the ox team will perform the return ceremony again. The performance often ends at the fifth watch. During the Spring Festival, it is also performed on the same stage with dragon lanterns, lions, and martial arts until the Lantern Festival. Four means peace in all four seasons, five means bumper harvests, and six means prosperity of livestock. This comprehensive art form has always been loved by the villagers. With the development of the times, the customs of Shangbao Township are also constantly evolving and developing. Spring Ox Lyrics have adapted new content to sing praises to the new society and new life.
