Ningdu Dagu Ancient Religion Lanterns (the fourth provincial level) Dagu Ancient Religion Lanterns originated in Gujiao Village, Dagu Township, in the 13th year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty. According to the villagers, there was a severe drought in the village that year, and crops could not be cultivated, and it was also difficult for people and livestock to drink water. Subsequently, people and livestock in the village fell ill, and the whole village was in danger. At this time, a young man named Liu came from outside and led the villagers to make lanterns and conduct sacrificial activities. After the disaster was alleviated, the lanterns have been passed down in this village since then. In order to commemorate this young man who brought culture to the village, the villagers used the lanterns taught by this young man to commemorate this young man every year in the form of commemorating the "young ancestor". According to time calculation, the project has a history of more than 100 years from its origin to the present. In the process of inheritance, the project was stopped for ten years during the "Cultural Revolution". From the origin to the present, the inheritance area of the project is mainly at the entrance of Gujiao Village. There are also inheritances in Xianshixia, Henao, Hudiezai and other places in Dagu Village. The form and content of its inheritance are consistent with Gujiao. Ancient lanterns have typical regional characteristics. They are a form of folk culture formed by local people to commemorate the people they worship. From the words used in the project to the whole process of the activity, they are almost "localized" and rarely similar to the outside world, and have high folklore value. At the same time, they have certain characteristics of artistic performance. From the formation, steps and the spirit of the lantern holders, there are traces of stage performances, which can be regarded as the prelude to the formation of stage art. In addition, the production of lanterns is simple and has a high aesthetic feeling, which has certain artistic value. At the same time, this project has important practical significance for the local new rural cultural construction: first, the content revealed by this form of expression meets the requirements of building a harmonious society; second, the masses in the inheritance area of the project have listed its activities as one of the most important projects in the cultural activities they participate in.
