Lubei Wooden Drum
The Lubei wooden drum originated in Pingyuan County (formerly En County) of Dezhou City, Shandong Province. It is popular in Pingyuan County and widely sung. The Lubei wooden drum originated from the "cihua" of the Yuan and Ming Dynasties and was formed during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. Qin Heyi of Dongchang Prefecture was forced to learn to sing drum stories from a friend in Deping County due to his livelihood, and later set up his own school. Qin Liangyu (stage name Qin Heyi), the first-generation inheritor of the wooden drum, absorbed the essence of Cangzhou drum and Hejian drum on the basis of drum storytelling and made innovations, adding wooden boards as the main props, and singing and performing in the Lubei dialect, forming a unique school, which was called "Qinjiamen wooden drum". Qin Heyi accepted Wang Ping (i.e. Wang Deping) as his apprentice, and after discussion between the master and the apprentice, the name was changed to "Qinmen Wangpai wooden drum". During the Republic of China period, wooden drum was popular in northern Shandong, so it was also called "Lubei wooden drum". The wooden drum has been passed down for more than 300 years and has been passed down for 13 generations. It is a unique performance form in northern Shandong and is deeply loved by audiences from all walks of life in urban and rural areas. The content of Lubei wooden drum rap is mainly traditional paragraphs, including "Yang Family Generals", "Hu Family Generals", "Three Heroes and Five Gallants", "Seven Heroes and Five Gallants", "Bao Gong's Case", "Shi Gong's Case", "Xue Rengui's Expedition to the East", "Xue Dingshan's Expedition to the West", "Xue Gang's Rebellion against the Tang Dynasty", "Huilong Biography" and other traditional repertoires. Lubei wooden drum narrates stories, shapes characters, and expresses thoughts and emotions delicately. It takes into account both rap and speaking, and the language expression is easy to understand, humorous and humorous. The performance is vivid and exaggerated. The singing is gentle and beautiful. The rap voice is slightly in the northern Shandong dialect, with the characteristics of "hard pronunciation and accurate singing". Ma Shihai (stage name Ma Dekui), the twelfth-generation inheritor of Lubei wooden drum, can not only tell and sing traditional books, but also wrote and performed "Old Man Zhang Fights Ma Xi", "Family Planning Model Soldier" and "Three Husbands Fight for Wife". The adapted "Wang Qi Harms His Mother" and "Guo Ju Buries His Son" were recorded into CDs by Anyang Yizhu Culture Communication Co., Ltd. and released by Beijing Youth Audiovisual Publishing House. Ma Shihai was admitted as a member of Shandong Quyi Association in March 2005, and has become the main inheritor of Lubei wooden drum rap art. Since 2008, he has participated in Huimin Huji Book Club for seven consecutive years. Due to his profound foundation and superb skills, he has been deeply loved by the audience. He has been invited to participate in the club many times and was named an outstanding actor.
