The legend of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai is one of the four major folk legends in my country and a treasure of Chinese culture. For thousands of years, it has deeply touched people's hearts with its distinctive themes of advocating the pursuit of knowledge, advocating love, and praising the endless life. It is widely loved by the public with its tortuous and moving plot, distinct character and ingenious story structure. The artistic charm displayed by the Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai legends and other art forms with the Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai legends as the content makes it a wonderful flower in the forest of Chinese folk literature and art. Since the Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai legends were formed in the Jin Dynasty 1,600 years ago, they have been mainly circulated in Ningbo, Shangyu, Hangzhou, Yixing, Jining, Runan and other places, and spread to various regions and ethnic groups in China. In the process of spreading, people from all over the country have continuously enriched and developed the content of the legend, and even built many tombstones and temples with the Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai legends as the theme. In addition, the Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai legends have also spread to countries such as North Korea, Vietnam, Myanmar, Japan, Singapore and Indonesia. Its great influence is rare in Chinese folk legends. Various literary and artistic works adapted from the Liang Zhu legend, such as the Yue Opera "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai", the violin concerto "Liang Zhu", and the movie "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai", as well as the unique fashion of studying, marriage and love formed by them, constitute a huge Liang Zhu cultural system. Like other oral literature and intangible cultural heritage, the Liang Zhu legend, which is mainly passed down orally, has been hit unprecedentedly in the past 20 years due to the influence of modernization and urbanization. The original oral inheritors have passed away one after another, and the younger generation is unwilling to continue. The inheritance is facing the danger of being cut off. It is urgent to rescue and take corresponding protection measures to ensure that this excellent cultural tradition can continue.
