Huizhou wall painting belongs to the category of traditional art and traditional skills. It is a branch of Huizhou Xin'an art and is widely used in the decoration and beautification of Huizhou architecture. Its unique painting materials, production skills and forms of expression constitute the unique aesthetics of Huizhou architecture and become an important part of Huizhou art. Geographical location and historical evolution of the region: Jixi County, where the project is located, is located in the southeast of Anhui Province. It borders Lin'an City, Zhejiang Province to the east, Huangshan District (formerly Taiping County), She County and Jingde County to the west, She County to the south, and Ningguo City and Jingde County to the north. It is 59.5 kilometers long from east to west and 42 kilometers wide from north to south, with a total area of 1,126 square kilometers. Due to the fact that it was less affected by wars in history, the original forms of some villages have been well preserved, and the authenticity and integrity of historical development have always been maintained. It is known as the "Ancient Residential Architecture Museum". Many authentic Huizhou wall paintings are still preserved on the exterior walls of some ancient residential buildings in the territory, including horse head walls, under the eaves, windows and gatehouses. It originated from the Xin'an School of Painting, and has been passed down to this day after years of master-apprentice teaching.
