Ancha is a famous tea with traditional Chinese craftsmanship. It was created around 1725. It is sold in Guangdong and Guangxi and exported to Southeast Asia. It is a semi-fermented compressed tea between black tea and green tea. It is also called "soft branch tea" in the folk. It is "unique" in China and even in the world. It has been recorded in the "Qichang Chronicle" of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty. Ancha is produced in Luxi and Rongkou areas in Xinan Township, Qimen County, Anhui Province, especially in Dianbutan, Luxi Township. Here, two rivers converge and three mountains surround. Most of the tea gardens are islands with fertile and deep soil. The surrounding bamboos and trees are lush, the water waves are rippling, and the clouds and mists are lingering, providing a unique ecological environment for the production of Ancha. Ancha is made of fine materials, unique craftsmanship, exquisite production, and excellent quality. After the new tea is picked and withered, it is slightly rolled and twisted. After nine steaming, nine drying and nine dewing, it is pressed and packed into bamboo leaves and small bamboo baskets, and then put into the drying cabinet for drying. The tea leaves condense into oval blocks. Its tea is strong and even, with a dark brown and oily color, and has the aroma of betel nut and indigo leaf, and the more mellow it is, the more fragrant it is. When brewing, the tea soup is clear, refreshing and mellow, with a sweet taste. It is not only a good drink, but also has high medicinal value. Lingnan Chinese medicine prescriptions often use this tea as a guide. It is praised as "holy tea" and "magic pill" for curing diseases by Guangdong, Guangxi and Southeast Asian countries. Modern pharmacological analysis has found that An tea contains polyphenols, which have the effects of clearing heat and stopping bleeding, detoxifying and reducing swelling, quenching thirst and promoting body fluid, eliminating miasma and warding off evil spirits. It can prolong life and refresh the mind. An tea was rated as Anhui Province's high-quality special tea twice in 1988 and 1992, and won the tea quality certificate from the Ministry of Agriculture in 1992. On October 25, 2007, Qimen An tea production skills were listed in the first batch of Qimen County's intangible cultural heritage representative works. In August 2008, Luxi Village in Luxi Township was approved as the second batch of characteristic professional demonstration villages in the province due to its unique and large-scale production of Ancha. In August 2010, based on its profound cultural heritage represented by Nuo dance performances and Ancha production technology, Luxi Village in the township was successfully selected as the fourth batch of historical and cultural villages in Anhui Province. In July 2011, Luxi Township was awarded the title of "Hometown of Anhui Folk Culture and Art", in which the production technology of Ancha was an important entry. In February 2012, the production technology of Qimen Ancha was listed in the third batch of municipal intangible cultural heritage list of Huangshan City.
