Deaf Finger Painting

Finger painting, also known as "finger ink painting" or "finger painting", is a beautiful branch of traditional Chinese painting and a treasure of Chinese folk art. Finger painting mainly uses fingers and palms to dip ink instead of brushes to paint, with a little help from other auxiliary tools. It is directly from the heart to the hand, so it can be very vivid, freehand and unique. It is true that "where the brush cannot reach, the finger can convey its spirit; and where the finger reaches, the brush cannot reach it." Because fingers and palms are not good at absorbing water, and are not good at large-scale painting, most finger paintings are characterized by heavy, simple, rough, straightforward, firm lines, and magnificent and interesting styles, which are unique in China and stand out in the painting world. Finger painting is to classify and summarize various techniques according to the three elements of line, surface, and point, so that readers can grasp the essence and draw inferences from one example, and then paint landscapes, flowers and birds, or figures. The art of deaf finger painting has made new developments from painting themes to expression techniques, thus freeing finger painting from the old father-in-law's ink play and becoming a painting form that everyone likes.
