Horse racing in Litang County has a long history. Every June 3rd, people worship the sacred mountain. It is called "Zhubi Rixiao" in Tibetan, which means "June Mountain Circumambulation Meeting" in Tibetan. It is a traditional festival in Litang County. Historically, every June, the famous Yellow Sect temple in Kang region, Changqingchun Keer Temple in Litang County, held horse racing performances and equestrian performances according to ancient customs.
