It is a comprehensive and ritual art performance form that integrates music, song, dance and etiquette. It originated in Qufu City, Shandong Province, the hometown of Confucius. The Harbin Confucian Temple's Confucius Sacrifice Ceremony inherited the Confucius Sacrifice rituals of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and also absorbed the beneficial reforms made during the Republic of China, which concentratedly embodied the ideological essence of Confucian culture.
