The fish skin raw materials used are similar to traditional fish skin products, and can only be obtained after multiple manual processes. Pasting paintings use scissors, carving knives, glue and molds to paste and carve fish skin, highlighting the texture and natural color of fish skin. In terms of content, most of them show the traditional daily life scenes of the Hezhe people, and some of them show the religious beliefs of the Hezhe people. The works are rich and colorful, with different shapes. After processing by contemporary artists, they have acquired a new art form and richer cultural connotations.
