my country is the first country in the world to invent fireworks and firecrackers. The fireworks and firecrackers made in China also have a long history and enjoy a high reputation in the world. The record of firecrackers was first seen in "Jingchu Sui Shi Ji" written by Zong Yan of the Liang Dynasty during the Southern and Northern Dynasties. The book describes the custom of setting off firecrackers in front of the courtyard when the cock crows to avoid evil spirits. The so-called firecrackers at that time were actually burning bamboo tubes, which caused the air inside the tubes to heat up and burst and make sounds. After the Sui and Tang Dynasties, they were put into bamboo tubes instead. In the Song Dynasty, bamboo tubes were abandoned and replaced by paper wrapping and exploding. In Hangzhou, the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty, strings of small firecrackers, commonly known as "firecrackers", appeared. According to "Wulin Jiushi", this kind of firecrackers would ring continuously after being lit, "one burn lasting more than a hundred times without stopping". In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, firecrackers developed a variety of styles, and famous varieties such as double-sound thunder, three-level rising waves, two-kick firecrackers, and flying ten-bang appeared. Modern firecrackers have been further developed and improved in types and craftsmanship, forming a complete production system, with single-shot, double-shot, chain-shot, firecrackers, row guns and other varieties and various craftsmanship such as rolling tubes, cutting tubes, pasting the bottom, filling mud, igniting, and sealing eyes. Fireworks, also known as "fireworks" and "fireworks", began in the Sui and Tang Dynasties, flourished in the Song Dynasty, and were widely popular in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In the Tang Dynasty, "Shixi fireworks" appeared, which could present various patterns such as fruits, animals, ghosts, etc. In the Southern Song Dynasty, rack fireworks were extremely popular. According to "Wanshu Miscellaneous Notes", there were many types of fireworks in Beijing in the Ming Dynasty. Those in paper boxes were called "flower tubes", those in mud boxes were called "sand pots", and those in bamboo basket boxes were called "flower boxes", which could show various patterns such as ribbon birds, grape racks, pearl curtains, and ever-burning lanterns. "The Imperial Capital's Annual Records" in the Qing Dynasty stated that the fireworks in the capital at that time "were filled with several stories in brocade boxes, with lifelike figures, feathers, flowers and plants, and wonderful makeup." The color of fireworks is mainly made by adding different chemicals, such as yellow with sodium salt, purple with potassium salt, red with strontium salt, green with barium salt, blue with copper salt, etc. my country's fireworks and firecrackers are mainly produced in Liuyang, Hunan, Wanzai and Pingxiang, Jiangxi, Dongguan, Guangdong, Pucheng and Yangxian, Shaanxi. Among them, the frame fireworks have been famous since the Song Dynasty. They are rarely used now and are in urgent need of protection and inheritance to promote their continued development. The frame flower fireworks are a large-scale palace fireworks that have been passed down to this day. They are made in the form of high-pole beam frames, and are automatically ignited back and forth by recoil rockets, and then set off at high altitudes. The frame flower fireworks circulated in Yangxian, Shaanxi Province originated from the palace fireworks of the Tang Dynasty. There are dozens of varieties, and there are more than 200 other fireworks varieties that match them. These fireworks are mostly based on historical stories and drama characters, and are prepared according to secret recipes passed down from generation to generation. The production strictly follows the ancient process. "The Double-backed Swords on the Pole of the Tang Dynasty Palace" is one of the finest. The fireworks on the main pole of Yangxian flower rack can generally be installed on the 12th, 24th and 48th floors. Taking the fireworks on the 24th floor as an example, the main pole is 20 meters high, and 24 small poles connected by fuses are scattered around it. When setting off, it is necessary to follow a certain order, and ignite the fireworks on the main pole and the small pole in turn, and combine other fireworks inside and outside the main pole and the small pole. The formula of Yangxian flower rack fireworks is accurate and scientific, the production process is reasonable and standardized, the improved drug formula is operational and safe, and the fireworks combination is meticulous and harmonious. Yangxian flower rack fireworks have important historical, cultural and scientific value. Its production process, fireworks shape and peculiar form of setting off are unique in China and the world. It provides valuable information for the study and development history of fireworks, and has high academic research value. (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
