Jingbian Donkey Running is a form of song and dance performance popular in folk festivals. Legend has it that it was created from the folk story of Zhang Guolao riding a donkey upside down or adapted by artist Yao Fu during the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty based on the bamboo horse running.
