Garajonay National Park (Spanish: Parque nacional de Garajonay, pronouncedxc2xa0[xcbx88paxc9xbeke naxcexb8joxcbx88nal de xc9xa3axc9xbeaxoxcbx88naj]) is located in the center and north of the island of La Gomera, one of the Canary Islands (Spain).
It occupies 40xc2xa0km2 (15 sq mi) and it extends into each of the six municipalities on the island.
The park is named after the rock formation of Garajonay, the highest point on the island at 1,487 metres (4,879xc2xa0ft).
Features of the national park include the massive rocks that are found along the island.

As well as thew two endemic pigeon species, these include Barbary partridges, plain swifts, Eurasian sparrowhawks, Berthelot's pipits and island canaries.

Not far off the north-west coast of Africa lies the island of La Gomera, one of the seven islands that make up the Canary Islands archipelago in the Atlantic.
