Coiba is the largest island in Central America, with an area of 503xc2xa0km2 (194xc2xa0sqxc2xa0mi), off the Pacific coast of the Panamanian province of Veraguas.
The property protects Coiba Island along with 38 smaller islands and the surrounding marine area and is immersed in the Tropical Eastern Pacific, forming part of the Tropical Eastern Pacific Marine Corridor (CMAR).
